Parents in the know:

Please know we are doing all we can to keep the parents informed.  Emails are going out like crazy to keep all our parents up to date and hope they appreciate the communication.

We ask that you frequently use our website to your advantage.  We post upcoming events with dates, times and locations.  If you are a parent who is not currently on the email list please notify Deanna so she can add you.

Dance Float:

As for our GREAT dance float....this is the first year we have had such a nice float.  The float works well and grabs the attention of the crowd.  However, decorations are needed for each parade we ride in.  

Each year we will need parent volunteers to help decorate the float; to give items to decorate the float so we can keep those for each following year; or to give small money donations to make sure we have all we need for the float. Keep in mind that maintaining a float can be expensive and that is why we are asking everyone to try to chip in.

We have reusable decorations; however, things get lost or torn and may need replaced.  Please let us know if you have any items you wish to donate to the school.

Sucker Drives:

We have decided that our BIG sucker drives may be the Ashville 4th of July and the Chillicothe Halloween Parade.

For these parades we are looking at about 3500 suckers with cards attached at each parade.  We also would like parent volunteers to walk beside the float to pass out the suckers as the children will be dancing on the float.  You will be amazed at how far $20 goes on these Sucker Drives. 

We will need parents willing to help with the making of the business cards.  For example: a few to buy paper, a few to print the cards and a few willing to cut the cards.  Please let us know if you are willing to help with these Sucker Drives.

Code of Conduct:

We would like to make an environment conductive to the children learning without any unnecessary disruptions.

If parents need to talk to Deanna please do it by cell phone or e-mail.

Treat everyone in a respectful and courteous manner.

Respect the property.

Absolutely no running, loud or disorderly behavior will be permitted in the building by either dancers, siblings or guests.

Should anyone bring food or drink in the building, please clean up after yourselves.

 

 

 

Class Responsibilities:

Please be on time.

Dancers need to wear shorts.

Please have shoes on ready to dance for your class time.

Bring a bottle of water to class.

No gum or candy allowed in class.

Please use the restroom before class starts and during breaks.

Girls hair must be pulled back away from face during class.

For performances children must be dressed and ready to dance at the performance location 45 minutes before the performance.  

Not being dress correctly can be a result of a parent buying things at a performance or the child being asked not to dance.

If you sign up and do not show or call without an acceptable reason, that to could result in your child not being asked to dance next time.

Costume Rentals Contract

 

Please read contract carefully

 

     1.     Cost and Financial Obligations

a.     A yearly rental fee of 100.00 is due before delivery of dress.

 

2.     Costume care and Use

a.     All costumes, crowns, bloomers, and dress bag if provided are the property of Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham Dance School.

b.     It is mandatory that each dancer where dress shields to protect the garment from deterioration due to perspiration. It is your responsibility to use them every time the costume is worn. The dress shields can be removed and laundered separately from the dress.

c.     Do not hang the costume. The costume is to be stored flat in a secure area inside a dress bag partially open for air circulation.

d.     Do not eat or drink in the costume.

e.     Do not iron directly on the costume.

f.       Do not clip loose threads. Use a needle to pull loose threads through and apply freycheck to prevent further pulls.

g.     The costume is only to be used by the person designated or approved by Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham Dance School. Loaning out the dress will void this contract and dress needs to be turned in immediately. Rental fees will not be refunded and cleaning fee of $50.00 is due.     

h.     The costume is only to be worn by current students of Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham School. If the child leaves the school or is removed from the school the dress is to be returned with in 5 days of the last class or 5 days of removal with $50.00 cleaning fee.  There is no refund of any rental fee due to leaving before the year is up.

i.       Costumes are meant to represent Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham and renting a costume means that you plan to Perform and make appearances for the school. If you do not plan on doing at least half of the scheduled appearances you should not rent a dress. By not performing we may ask for the dress back.

j.       The Dress contract is for one year. If the dress doesn’t fit for the whole year Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham can either have dress altered or give the dancer a different dress at their discretion. If they can not offer the dancer a dress at all rental fees will be prorated from the time the dress was brought in and given back to Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham.

 

3.     Costume Alterations and Cleaning

a.     Any costume in need of repair or alteration must be brought to the attention of Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham Dance School in writing along with the dress.

b.     Alterations are only to be done by Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham Dance School.

c.     All costumes will be charged a $50.00 cleaning fee when dress is turned in. We will have the costume cleaned. Please do not do this yourself. Frequent dry-cleaning wears down the fabric and ultimately affects the life of the costume. If circumstances require additional cleanings please get written approval from Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham Dance School.   

 

 

Please list any and all damage on the dress when you receive the dress on this contract. Any damage to the dress will be charged to you to fix and in the event you do not return the dress or it can not be fixed there will be a $400.00 fee to be paid by renter to Na Scoil Rince Ni Graham immediately.
